I'll be performing at Night it Up!

Just a quick FYI - I'll be performing at Night it Up! Night market this year! I will be singing on the main stage Saturday July 15 at 4:25pm. If you're free or interested, come by and check me out : ) Click here to see the full performance schedule.

Night it Up! is an annual night market - styled in the vein of night markets from across Asia. It features delicious foods from local vendors and performers from all across Toronto - including me, which I'm very excited about! There are lots to do, see and eat - definitely worth stopping by! Plus, it's a FREE event!

It is happening this weekend July 14-16 at Markham Civic Centre, 101 Town Centre Blvd. For more info, you can check out their website here. It'll be lots of fun, so hope to see you there!

The Big Sick

I know, there are lots of big blockbuster movies coming out this summer for example, Spiderman: Homecoming. However, I'm also very excited for the smaller movie, The Big Sick! I've heard lots of great things for it too - so, I can not wait to see it. What movie are you excited to see this summer?

CAST STARRING: Kumail Nanjiani, Zoe Kazan, Holly Hunter, and Ray Romano

DIRECTOR: Michael Showalter

PRODUCER: Judd Apatow

SYNOPSIS: THE BIG SICK tells the story of Pakistan-born aspiring comedian Kumail (Nanjiani), who connects with grad student Emily (Kazan) after one of his standup sets. However, what they thought would be just a one-night stand blossoms into the real thing, which complicates the life that is expected of Kumail by his traditional Muslim parents.

When Emily is beset with a mystery illness, it forces Kumail to navigate the medical crisis with her parents, Beth and Terry (Holly Hunter and Ray Romano) who he's never met, while dealing with the emotional tug-of-war between his family and his heart. THE BIG SICK is directed by Michael Showalter (HELLO MY NAME IS DORIS) and produced by Judd Apatow (TRAINWRECK, THIS IS 40) and Barry Mendel (TRAINWRECK, THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS).

In select theatres June 30 and everywhere July 14.
