Gap's Menswear Collection with GQ

A definitely interesting collaboration; a men's magazine, GQ partnering up with the Gap.

Following last year's successful collaboration, the Gap introduces the brand's second menswear collection designed by GQ's four Best New Menswear Designers in America for 2013. This year's line ranges from accessories to outerwear, showcases each rising designer's signature spin on iconic menswear pieces.

With price points starting at $30 for essential items and up to $348 for more indulgent pieces. The exclusive collection is now available at select Gap stores and online.

The four designers, along with the pieces from their limited-edition Gap capsule collections are featured in advertisement below. To view all the items from the collection, click here.

Aviator Nation founder Paige Mycoskie, inspired by a cool '70s California vibe, develops her own fabric washes and graphics, giving her collection an authentic, lived-in vintage feel.

Kansas City - based Matt Baldwin's Baldwin brings timeless functionality with a clean architectural aesthetic for designs that are minimal, modern, and decidedly masculine.

Brothers Liam and Sammy Fayed of Bespoken fuse Savile Row traditions with a youthful rock'n'roll attitude to create sharp, modern menswear.

Specializing in handcrafted heritage materials and authentic finishes, Ernest Alexander takes the rugged yet refined man from workday to weekend in style.

Latest Converse Collaborations

Check out the latest Converse collaborations - what do you guys think of them?

There's the Hudson's Bay Company (Canada's premium retailer) Jack Purcell sneaker collection. Designed in the heritage of the iconic Hudson's Bay multi-stripe blanket and signature colours. The actual woolen blanket is used in these one of a kind styles!

Another very cool collaboration is with avant-garde French fashion house Maison Martin Margiela. The collection features Chuck Taylor All Star and the Jack Purcell sneakers, each completely hand-painted in Maison Martin Margiela's iconic white paint.

They naturally crack and shed their outer coat of paint to reveal the original colours beneath. The more the sneakers are worn, the more their personality and colour is revealed. "The Maison has always been obsessed with white; it is used as a layer to give an incognito feeling. A sort of poetry, with the passage of time, the shoe asserts itself," says Maison Martin Margiela.

Interesting..... : )

Hayden Christensen & RW&CO Launches Menswear Line

What exciting news I heard this morning. Canadian actor Hayden Christensen (Star Wars & Jumper star) has partnered with RW&Co. on a 20-piece line arriving in store and on line November 7th. The limited edition menswear collection includes coats, jackets, shirts, pants, knitwear and accessories that range in price from $59 to $249.

"I'm excited to partner with a brand I feel such an authentic connection to and one that shares my detail-oriented design sensibility. I'm looking forward to wearing my designs." - Hayden Christensen

The collection was inspired by his time at his farm he owns in Uxbridge, Ontario. He was hands-on creating the collection and was involved in every phase of product development. His touches includes a shirt with moldable wire collar and cuffs, a camouflage-lined jacket and a reversible graphic print sweatshirt. All very interesting ideas, which I'm very excited for - especially the reversible graphic print sweatshirt.

I can't wait to see the collection! So great to see celebrity-led collections just for the male consumers : ) Nice collaboration RW&Co.!

Check out the video below as Christensen talks more about his collection with RW&Co. Check back as I will definitely keep you posted.

I'm a Dreamer Apparel - A Clothing Company with a Message

I first stumbled upon I'm a Dreamer Apparel through twitter by noticing (being a graphic designer) their cool looking logo. Then I looked them up, and was glad that I did -  a great local company creating some great looking apparel! (Kinda like me! Check out my creations, Hello! Stuff here : ) Not only great looking, but I love the message behind it. Note: Images are from their website and items are from their summer collection.

I'm a Dreamer Apparel is a line of clothing with a focus on graphic and typographic aesthetics. A hybrid of high fashion and street wear, their aim is to inspire individuals to pursue their dreams. I love the design (playing with types and graphics) and thoughts on their graphic Ts. With lines/Quotes like 'I'm a Dreamer', 'Dream Bigger' and 'The Struggle is part of the story', are all very inspirational. I like how it sends a positive message to not only the person who's wearing it but also for everyone who sees it. It reminds us all to pursue what we love to do!

I'm loving my 'Do what you love, love what you do' tank - thank you! I'm now a fan, and can't wait to see what's available for Fall/Winter 2013. Check out some pics/looks on how I wore my I'm a Dreamer tank top.

Pants from Bluenotes and H&M snekers.

Shorts from Hollister Co. and Jeremy Scott for Adidas .

You can shop and pick up some I'm a Dreamer Apparel on their website. Make sure to follow them on twitter and Facebook to get updates on the great stuff they're doing.

Diesel branded Food truck

I attended the preview event of the Diesel Food Truck the other day at their flagship store in Toronto's Yorkville neighbourhood.

Degrassi's Luke Bilyk with Diesel CEO Joey Adler

This is such a great idea and for a great cause! From September 5 - 8th, 2013, the Diesel Food Truck For Change will be raising money for ONEXONE by giving away tasty treats in exchange for donations. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to ONEXONE!

Tasty croissant cookies!

ONEXONE was founded on the principles that every single life is infinitely precious and that each person can make a profound difference in someone else's life, one by one. This charity was founded by Diesel Canada's president and CEO Joey Adler in 2005. Its mission is to improve the lives of children in Canada, the USA and around the world with programs dedicated to five fundamental pillars: water, health, education, play and food.
