H&M Spring Icons Selected by The Weeknd

Spring Icons Selected by The Weeknd is a complete wardrobe of essential pieces, chosen by one of the world's most celebrated artists, who also happens to be Canadian, Abel Tesfaye, aka The Weeknd!

The collection mixes utility and streetwear sihouettes with tailored lines, bringing together the important menswear statements of the season. Mark your calendar - the collection will be available in every H&M store that carries menswear, as well as online, from March 2.

"I had a great time selecting my Spring Icons at H&M. I love the mix of urban pieces like bombers and hoodies with tailored shirts and blazers. Every Piece is both effortless and fresh, which is just how menswear should be," says Abel Tesfaye.

There's a sharp street style look to the Spring Icons Selected By The Weeknd collection. A beige cotton bomber has the perfect details, from its ribbed hem to the round terry black patch at the chest. Hoodies are key pieces, with a flattened kangaroo pocket at the front, either in black or in olive. Wear over raw-edged jersey T-shirts that sit loose on the body and match with tailored pants functionally updated with a drawstring waist. Outterwear is important, such as the biker jacket in pleather for a light modern feel, or the zip-up work shirt in faux suede. Meanwhile refreshed tailoring brings clarity and sharpness, like mandarin collar cotton shirts, a semi-constructed blazer that's the perfect outer layer, or a lightweight double-breasted belted spring coat that's the quintessential finishing touch.

Now, who's excited about this Spring Icons Selected by The Weeknd collection? I can't wait! I'm a Weeknd fan! Plus, I absolutely love the collection streetwear theme and colour palette. Here are some of my fav pieces = will probably pick up, come March 2 : )

Old Spice - NEW Swagger Gel

The Manliest grooming brand on the planet introduces NEW Swagger Gel to the Old Spice Hair Care and Styling Product line. Giving guys high hold and moderate shine for hair that doesn't try too hard.

And just in time, to combat those winter months 'Hat Hair'. You guys knows what I'm talking about. Here are some tips:

1.  Start with Old Spice Swagger Gel – Simply apply a small amount to your fingertips and rub together before applying to the hat line. Depending on the length of your hair, always remember a small amount goes a long way.
2.  Keep it Dry – Make sure your hair is completely dry and styled before wearing the hat. Otherwise, your hair will flatten and take the hat’s shape when wet.
3.  Hat Indentation Quick Fix – Use your fingertips to press and start rubbing the hat line out. Think of your fingertips as an eraser!
4.  Water Works – In a pinch and without product? Wet your hands with water and flick excess off. Start with a small amount because you can’t unwet your hair. Remember, it’s just a quick touch up!
5.  Hats Off to Hats – Many guys wear hats on a daily basis, and hats can also be cleverly used as a styling tool. They work great to bring down hair volume, or to help keep Swagger-styled hair in place from home to your destination.

Old Spice Styling products can be found nationwide in retailer hair care aisles.

Uniqlo T-shirts in Canada!

I'm such a big fan - very excited that Uniqlo t-shirt (UT) is now available in Canada! It launched last month and is available at both the Eaton Centre & Yorkdale. Now, I won't have to ask my friends from aboard to get them for me.

UT - are carefully selecting pop art from around the world. In its 10th season, UTs have become central to Uniqlo's LifeWear approach by emotionally engaging with people. Their internationally beloved content simply and directly conveys the individuality and moods of wearers.

I LOVE graphic t-shirts! (I even created my own line, Hello! Stuff by David Chiu - you can check them out here.) UTs are the best - they're fun & I love their selections of pop culture icons; stuff like Disney, Marvel and Pixar just to name a few.

There's also the SPRZ NY Uniqlo t-shirt - a collaboration with MoMa. The SPRZ NY (Surprise New York) collection aims to disseminate examples of stunning artistic inspiration around the world. For the Spring Summer 2017 season, the collection features prints inspired by the work of, my favourites, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Jen-Michel Basquiat. It also features geometric patterns inspired by the work of Sol LeWitt, Francois Morellet, Max Bill and Gertrud Goldschmidt.

Will you be picking up some UT?
