Converse - The Chuck Taylor All Star II

For the first time in almost a 100 years, Converse introduces the 'Chuck II', a sleeker, more comfy version of its iconic Chuck Taylor All Stars sneakers.

Don't worry, Chuck II has retained the classic look of the Chuck Taylor. Here are some of the features:

• A Nike "Lunarlon" sockliner for superior full foot cushioning and arch support. It's a lightweight and bouncy foam support found in running and basketball shoes. Note: Converse, which was bought over by Nike in 2003 after it went bankrupt - this is where the Nike connection comes in, if you're wondering...

• There's a padded non-slip tongue, which provides 360-degree comfort around the ankle.

• A perforated micro suede liner for breathability during extended periods of wear.
• A durable premium canvas build complemented with a fully embroidered All Star patch.

The Chuck II comes in four colours - Black, Salsa Red, Sodalite Blue and White. It will be available on 28 July 2015. As for cost, it will be US$15 more than the originals, costing US$75 for the high-top, and US$70 for its low-top version.

My Fav!

What do you guys think? The changes/features are good? Excited?

I LOVE the idea! Still stylish but now more comfortable?! YES please! My pick? The High-top Sodalite blue! #ChuckII

It's summer time! Aside from putting on sunblock to protect your skin, don't forget about taking care of your eyes! I love wearing sunglasses and came across some nice ones from TOMS. Yes, you heard right, TOMS does not only makes shoes but also eyewear!

And with every pair of TOMS eyewear purchased, TOMS will help give sight to a person in need. One for One.

Love the detailing: Can you read "Give" & "Sight"

Fjällräven - Kånken Backpack

I love bags especially backpacks! If you're looking for one, check out Fjällräven's Kånken!

Iconic outdoor brand Fjällräven launched the original Kånken backpack in 1978 and in the process created an instant classic. Today, the celebrated Kånken collection include a wide assortment of colours and styles, ranging from the Kånken Mini to the Kånken laptop, all with the same characteristic shape.

Made of the extremely hard-wearing, waterproof fabric, Vinylon F, the Kånken is unparalleled in its combination of durability and lightweight. All styles of Kånken have a long zipper that opens the entire main compartment, two side pockets and front pocket.

Kånken backpack comes in so many great colours,
like this one in Burnt Orange

Originally designed for Swedish school kids (to help prevent back pain problems), the Kånken backpack has gained a following of adults and kids alike and has become a recognizable wardrobe staple around the globe.

I'm loving my Kånken backpack. I've been taking it out to a few of my summer outings. It's not only a great looking bag, it's lightweight with plenty of room for all my stuff. The large main compartment with a large opening makes it very easy to put in/take out items. The two side pockets are nice to have - great for water bottles, umbrella etc. There's the option of wearing it on your back or carrying it with the top handles - both ways feels very comfortable. Lastly, the logo doubles as a reflector!
