Deep Fried Cola & Donut Burger!!??

That's right, I was brave enough (and curious) to try them both.

Looking for everything deep-fried? The Canadian National Exhibition is the place to find them! Last year's craze was the Deep Fried Butter, but this year's is the Deep Fried Cola. Plus, also the Krispy Kreme Burger is getting a lot of attention.

I was very interested in the Deep Fried Cola ($6 for a cup) - thinking how do they fried coke?? Being curious, I must try it. I saw them making it. It's like, cola was mixed in with batter, and then dropped in oil. Here are some pics - yeah, it doesn't look that appealing. It didn't really taste like cola, and I found it had very little flavour. Will I try it again? No thanks!

I also tried the 1,500 calorie Donut Burger. That's right - it's like a cheeseburger with Krispy Kreme donuts for buns! ( $8 or $10 with egg and bacon) I actually really enjoyed it!! I liked the taste of the sweetness of the donuts mixed with the burger was surprisingly very yummy : ) I would definitely have it again. FYI - I didn't eat the whole thing, shared it and just had half of it = only 750 calorie. Here are some pics, enjoy!!

Poster - The Ides of March

Check out this poster for the movie The Ides of March, coming out this Fall.

Not really sure what's it all about, but the poster caught my attention. Very nicely designed -  simple with a strong visual - what a neat idea! Looks like a great cast too!! With both Ryan Gosling and George Clooney on the poster, does it really matter what the movie is about?! lol

I'm not a big fan of movies about politics, but with that cast, people will definitely go see it. I have a feeling it might even get some Oscar nominations.
