Stuff I Wore - A Fake Sweater

Hope everyone is staying warm these couple of days, it's freezing in Toronto! FYI - this outfit was from a couple weeks back. I had on this fun top that looks like a sweater. If you look closely, it's actually a sweater printed on the long sleeve. Cool, eh? I love it! It was from Maison Martin Margiela with H&M collection. I'm also loving my green Dr. Martens. It's actually my very first pair and I'm really enjoying them! It's not too heavy and very comfy. I'm looking forward to wearing them more often - so, go away snow!

Adidas Originals X Pharrell Stan Smith "Polka Dot" Collection

I'm loving the latest collaboration from Adidas Originals X Pharrell with the iconic Stan Smith tennis shoes. Very much like Pharrell's personality - bold colours, fun print motif that signals both energy and joy. It's all about polka dots! There are 2 styles: smaller scale dots printed in red on yellow, white or blue background. The larger white dots are printed on red, blue or black background.

They are now available in stores. I personally prefer the smaller scale dot style. What do you guys think of them?

My fav!

Converse All Star Winter Collection

Converse All Star Winter collection embraces the season with winterized elements such as rugged boot silhouettes and warm materials; leather, shearling and knit.

All new this season, Converse introduces the Chuck Taylor All Star Combat Boot, a new men's silhouette with easy-on, easy-off access, perfect for winter outings. As for the women, there's the Chuck Taylor All Star Platform Plus Collar which features a burnished sueded material and padded collar upper.

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Winter collection is now available in stores. Which style do you like?

Combat Boot:
Inspired by vintage military gear, it features a double overlay eye row and a larger opened collar, perfect for tucking in jeans. Detailing that includes a tongue zipper, extra-long laces, rubberized toe and heal offer protection from harsh winter elements.

City Hiker:
This features a Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette with a slight boot tread for extra grip and warm shearling lining. Not to worry, it's just enough to structuralize its boot shape without adding extra bulk.

Boot:
This cold weather take on the classic Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette has a leather upper and Thinsulate lining, which is great for helping keep your feet warm.

Platform Plus Collar:
This new style for the women features a burnished suede material in two rich colours. A padded shearling collar upper, 2.5 inch internal wedge and weatherized details gives it the perfect winter look for any outing.

Winter Knit:
This women's style has a handcrafted look and feel reminiscent of a timeless hand-knit sweater.

Fun Fur:
This women's shearling collection is all about keeping warm throughout the winter season. Featuring a soft suede upper and a plush shearling lining.

Introduced for Fall 2014, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Rubber is back for the winter season. It features a soft fleece lining with a rubber upper in rich monochromatic colours. Designed with a gusseted tongue and brass eyelets, the water resistant Rubber is built to help protect you on snow slush days. I like to take care of my skin & is always in the look out for grooming products that would be good for my skin. When I got an invite to go check out the King's Crown booth at the Gentlemen's Expo held last month in Toronto, I was definitely intrigued. At the expo, King's Crown showed off their famous straight blades, along with the launch of their line of men's skin care products, stylish blade handles and accessories.

For centuries the Weyersberg family of Soligen, Germany has provided with internationally renowned swords and blades, recognized for their unmatched quality in materials and expert craftsmanship. Today that tradition continues with King's Crown - a prestigious collection of skin care and grooming accessories fit for the modern day.

The King's Crown skin care solutions were designed with the specific needs of men in mind, these simple three-step skin care regiments include a cleanser, moisturizer and the staple King's Crown Ultra-Rich Shaving Cream.

King's Crown powerful skincare solutions are broken down into three collections: Enriched, Age-Less and Oil Defense. Note: All of the collection are Paraben-free, which means, it does not use any chemical preservatives.

Enriched Collection:
Formulated for normal skin types, this collection leaves skin smoother and more energized. Vitamin C brightens complexion, evens tone and firms skin while other natural antioxidants help protect against external aggressors and premature aging.

Age-Less Collection:
Formulated for mature skin, this collection leaves skin revitalized and younger looking. Promotes cell turnover and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Rejuvenates aging skin and helps stimulate collagen production. Promotes a healthy youthful resilience and glow.

Oil Defense Collection:
Formulated for oily and blemish prone skin, this collection controls oil and shine. Powerful purifying ingredients help oily skin regain control without stripping natural hydration and protection.

For more info on King's Crown powerful skincare solutions, the benefits and how to use them, click here. You can purchase all of King's Crown skin care products, stylish blade handles and accessories on their website here.

For my skin type, I was looking at the Oil Defense collection and King's Crown kindly gave me the three step facial care set for me to try. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I'm loving it! It's very easy to use and it works!

Since I'm an electric razor guy, I have yet to try the shaving cream. However, I am enjoying both the facial cleanser and oil free moisturizer. The cleanser is purifying. I can feel it working and my skin doesn't feel overly dry after using it. As for the moisturizer, it's non-greasy, super light, and quick absorbing. I love that it controls the oil and maintains a matte finish all day long! Good bye shiny forehead : )

Holidays Movies - Posters

Happy 2015! So, who went to the theatre during the holidays? I saw Into the Woods and Big Eyes and enjoyed both! They both had a great cast & story - I'd recommend both.

I also really liked their posters too, especially the ones for Into the Woods - the background is moving! It's very subtle, but it's there, just look closely - the only movement is in the form of shifting shadows and reflected moonlight! Neat, eh?

After seeing Big Eyes, I fell in love with Margaret Keane's paintings! I want one of those big eyes artwork! I guess the poster will have to do for now : )

What movies did you watched?

Stuff I Wore - Ugly Sweater

First of all, I'd like to wish you, your family and friends a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year! Ho, ho, ho - hope santa was good to you : )

It was quite a mild Christmas day we had in Toronto, which I didn't mind. Unfortunately, not a white Christmas. To celebrate, I put on this ugly sweater I picked up from H&M a few weeks back. It's actually not that ugly, right? It's fun and I love the pop of green! To stay with the Christmas theme, I wore a pair of red Levis cords. Even though it wasn't raining, it didn't stop me from wearing these bright yellow Converse All Star Rubber kicks. I'm loving them and it looks like others are too. A lady saw them and told me "Your shoes makes me happy". How cool was that? Spreading joy through my outfit! : )
