The adidas NMD_R1

First launched in Dec. 2015, the original adidas NMD Runner PK.

FYI, no sneaker is hotter right now than these - launched under the adidas Originals, it called the NMD, a new silhouette which uses two of adidas most popular technologies - Primeknit and Boost. The NMD is not really for running or basketball, but for traveling the streets on a daily basis.

The NMD_R1 Runner looks like it have been sent from the future. At first glance the sneaker has a Primeknit, sock-like upper and a Boost sole. But if you look closer, you'll notice classic 80s-era adidas design elements like the colourblocked panels on the midsole.

The NMD runner connect the past and the future. The adidas Micro Pacer, Rising Star and Boston Super are all referenced in the design.

What does the acronym NMD even means? According to adidas Original VP, "We started talking about what does 'new' mean, both in terms of design and how we live our lives. We kicked around a lot of thoughts on new modern design and the new nomadic traveler, but we didn't want to give a name that was too descriptive." As the shoes defies traditional categorization - blending technical running elements within a lifestyle product - the team decided to keep the name in code form.

I'm really loving the NMD R1! They're super popular right now - line ups and selling out the day they drop. Luckily, I scored myself (above) TWO pairs : ) I just LOVE the look of them - plus they're very comfy and incredibly lightweight. Stay tuned, more colourways and styles are coming soon. adidas Originals take over Exclucity in Toronto

Attention sneaker fanatics! adidas Originals is taking over the top floor of Exclucity, a sneaker destination located at 552 Queen Street W. in Toronto. As of Thursday, February 11, the space will give sneakerheads access to shop exclusive adidas Originals drops and will act as a reveal space for new products in the coming months.

adidas had completely transformed the space with its branding, custom imagery by local Toronto photographer, Horace Ng, customer photo activations and fashion-forward products. Beginning on Feb. 11, the adidas shop will be dedicated to the Tubular line of sneakers. The new Tubular shoes are inspired by the legacy of the 1993 runner and re-created as a modern street-style sneaker.

Adidas Originals X Pharrell Stan Smith "Polka Dot" Collection

I'm loving the latest collaboration from Adidas Originals X Pharrell with the iconic Stan Smith tennis shoes. Very much like Pharrell's personality - bold colours, fun print motif that signals both energy and joy. It's all about polka dots! There are 2 styles: smaller scale dots printed in red on yellow, white or blue background. The larger white dots are printed on red, blue or black background.

They are now available in stores. I personally prefer the smaller scale dot style. What do you guys think of them?

It was a beautiful early October fall weekend, so we decided to go to the Niagara area to check out the fall colours. We were a little disappointed, thought there would be more colours. But anyhow, we still had a great day. Decided to go casual this day. Love this Adidas camo-like print hoodie, it's cozy and I love the colour/design - one of my fav!

Customize your Adidas with Instagram Pics

How cool is this news?! Adidas has created an app, launching in August, that will let users make a fashion statement by printing any photo, including Instagram pics, on a pair of sneakers!

This technology is part of the relaunch of 'mi adidas', the shoemaker's customizeable-sneakers program. You'll be able to print you pics on the ZX Flux shoes. Go and check out the video on adidas' Instagram post here.
