Marni at H&M:Pre-shop Event

I survived the Marni at H&M pre-shop event! Not only that, but got everything I wanted! I ended up getting both the graphic image T, sunglasses, the black and white dress shirt (love the pattern design), and the blue pocka dots short sleeve shirt.

Lucky me - so glad that I won a twitter contest through H&M for a chance to attend the pre-shop event. It happened at the Bloor Street location from 8pm - 10pm, the night before it goes on sale to the general public. I'm guessing about 150-200 people were invited.

As mentioned before, I got everything I wanted! The men's collection didn't go as quickly as the women's (so glad that I'm a guy - lol) Plenty of the men's stuff were still available, however mostly in bigger sizes. The ladies' collection was a different story.  Many of the dresses and accessories were all gone very quickly!

Good thing I slipped on the items I got, since the sizing was a bit different from regular H&M sizing. Once I got the right sizes, I really like how they all fitted on me. But no worries, if it doesn't fit or you change your mind, there is a 14 day return policy for the collection.

I was very happy with all my purchases! Can't wait to wear them-I might just wear one of the T tomorrow : ) Check out some of the pics I took....

Marni at H&M - the collection

Very exciting.... the Marni collection for H&M was revealed! Check out the ladies collection with prices here, and the men's here. For more info about this collaboration, check out my earlier posting here.

The men's collection looks good. I'm curious how they will fit, from the images it looks like the tops are very loose fitting. I'm more into the fitted style - but it's Marni, so I will make it work on me : )

A few items that I'm interested in are no surprise, the graphic t-shirts, some of the shirts/top, and accessories; the tote bag and sunglasses.

Marni at H&M

Another designer collaboration with H&M is coming up very soon... March 8, 2012 to be exact.

The new collaboration is with the Italian brand Marni. The founder and creative director Consuelo Castiglioni has created a Spring collection for both women and men. The collection will features both clothing and accessories. The collection will feature "all-over prints in strong colours all intended to be worn together in layers that both match and clash."

"For women, the colours are vivid and the prints are bold, African inspired or simpler colour blocks. The Silouettes are all Marni staples, with full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped trousers and jacquard knit, and fabrics range from silk to crisp cotton poplin. To finish the complete look the collection also includes jewellery, shoes bags and scarves."

"And for the men, the colours and fabrics are softened for a relaxed take on menswear staples that is truly Marni. The use of print is subtle, often as a lining or as a contrast detail for shirts, the silhouette a modern and relaxed take on masculine classics."
