My Hair Cut & Photo Shoot

 

I love to enter contest and just wanted to share with you one of my recent winning, which was a pretty cool one. The prizes included a hair cut and a photo shoot!

My hair cut took place at Stonerose Hair Studio, it included a hair cut, hot towel service, shoulder and scalp massage, along with a gift bag of Kevin Murphy products (stimulate-me. wash, Free. hold and Thick.again) As well as a photo shoot session afterward with Trevor Godinho (celebrity editorial photographer). He worked with Michael Douglas & Kurt Russell, just to name a few. You can check out his work here.

Diesel Spring Summer 2015 Ad Campaign #DIESELHIGH

Diesel's new ad campaign for Spring Summer 2015 focuses around love, and aims to encourage tolerance and inclusiveness. It was came up by Diesel's creative director Nicola Formichetti. The #DIESELHIGH campaign is about elevating oneself, with every individual celebrating their unique point of view. 

The great images was captured by star photographer Nick Knight. The campaign got "him to do something he's rarely done - which is shoot people smiling. It feels spontaneous, like they are selfies and he's just the one snapping the photo."

What do you guys thing? I love it! They're so fun & what a great message! And I want those white denims!

Customize your Adidas with Instagram Pics

How cool is this news?! Adidas has created an app, launching in August, that will let users make a fashion statement by printing any photo, including Instagram pics, on a pair of sneakers!

This technology is part of the relaunch of 'mi adidas', the shoemaker's customizeable-sneakers program. You'll be able to print you pics on the ZX Flux shoes. Go and check out the video on adidas' Instagram post here.

Being a fan of both sneakers and Instagram - I am definitely intrigued! How about you? What do you think about wearing your filtered Instagram creations on your feet? So really, you can soon take a selfie and print it - on your sneakers! : )

Umbra's 'Facepapers' Winner - Me, Once Again!

Very happy to share that once again, not one but TWO of my photos were chosen as Umbra's 'Facepapers'. I said once again, because two of my photos were winners when Umbra had the contest the first time. You can read about it here.

This will be the second time Umbra had run this 'Facepapers' contest. In Umbra-speak 'facepapers' refers to the photo inserts. In the past, what was placed in all Umbra's frames have always been of staff's, their kids, dogs and parents. They had never used professional shots. Umbra then thought of letting us fans/community to participant. What a great idea!

After sifting through hundreds of great photos, they've selected 13 winners - and yep, TWO of them (below) were mine!! FYI, each winning photo get $50 to shop on umbra.com. Thank you Umbra!! : )

Umbra frames are sold in over 35,000 stores all over the world - how cool?! The winning photos will be placed in Umbra's frames and displays due to come out this January.

Diesel FW13 Campaign #DIESELREBOOT

The concept behind Diesel's advertising campaign for this fall is quite different from what they have done in the past. 

Nicola Formichetti, the new Artistic Director of Diesel are enlisting a new generation of brand ambassadors and fearless fashion leaders under the banner of #DIESELREBOOT.

Over the past few months, Diesel announced its presence on Tumblr gathering a community of fresh and brave creatives. This innovative approach of celebrating creativity is the inspiration of the campaign. People who represents Diesel's DNA primary particles: freedom, originality and above all, bravery were featured. Each person photographed was self-styled in Diesel denim and leather - customized by Nicola Formichetti.

Nicola Formichetti says that "the idea for this campaign was to merge the classic portrait photographic style featuring the new heros of today's generation: the digital influencers and creators. Visually, I wanted to highlight the individual beauty of our community. It was less about capturing fashion and more about getting an insight into these people's souls."(Photographers were Inez and Vinoodh)

Thoughts? I like! I think it's a pretty neat idea! 

iPhone TV Ad - Photos Every Day

Just wanted to share this latest great TV ad from Apple, I just LOVE it! It's for their iphone.

For those who knows me - knows that I love to take pics (with my iphone of course) of anything and everything. I could so see myself in this ad? lol Now,why wasn't I ask to be in it?! : )

'Every day, more photos are taken with the iPhone than any other camera.' I believe that.

Umbra - Facepaper Contest Winner: Me!

I'm a big fan of umbra stuff. They're cool, modern, original, and affordable product for the home. I'm pretty sure you like me own something from umbra. Maybe a frame or two?

Well, umbra had a Facepaper Contest back in January where we can submit photos for a chance to be in an umbra frame sold worldwide. If that's not enough, the chosen ones also get a $50 umbra gift code to shop online. How cool, right? And guess who won? ME!!! lol

Diesel Fall/Winter 2012 Ad Campaign

Check out the latest Ad Campaign from Diesel. It continues last season's theme of 'portraits for successful living'. This time around the campaign is like a series of modern screen test.

The photographer is Steven Meisel and the campaign features some of the most contemporary models, including Canadian's own Coco Rocha. The 'Queen of posing' doesn't disappoint, giving some pretty interesting poses.

I love the look of the campaign. I like how the models are being playful, and showing off their personalities. It's definitely a fun and humorous campaign. What do you guys think?

2012 Olympic Athletes Poses Nude

The 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London begins tomorrow! Very exciting!! I always love watching the Olympic Games and of course cheering on our Canadian athletes.

Speaking of Olympic athletes, check out these beautiful photographs in the latest ESPN Body Issue. In a tribute to their bodies, all the athletes stripes down to celebrate their athletic forms.

I love the concept. The photos does an excellent job at showcasing the tremendous strength, effort and commitment that athletes put into their bodies, as they get ready for the Games. They're strategically and very artistically shot - in most shots, the athlete is in a movement from their sport.
