One of a Kind Spring Show & Sale - Tickets Giveaway!

Happy Spring! The One of a Kind Show is coming up very soon! A leader in the maker movement, the OOAK Spring Show returns March 29 - April 2 at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place in Toronto. This will be its 39th year and there will be exciting new sections that showcase the range of artisanal products available in Canada. This includes the Craft Drinks zone where you can sample small-batch wine, beer and spirits from local "makers and shakers". How neat is that?

Other NEW sections this year include:

One of a Kind Marketplace
This section is open to all new and emerging makers looking to grow their business. Over 40 talented emerging artisans will have the opportunity to exhibit their unique craft.

One of a Kind French Pavilion
Together with The Chambres de Métiers et de l'artisanat - Ile-de-France (CRMA-IDF), there will be a French Pavilion at the Spring Show. In this pop-up section, nine artisans from the Parisian region will make their Toronto debut. Showcasing quality handmade goods from fashion accessories to home decor, this will be a chance for visitors to see the treasures of Paris without leaving the country.

In addition to the new sections available this year, visitors will also be able find their long standing favourites at The One of a Kind Show. With over 500 makers — 132 of which are new this spring — the Show will feature an array of handmade goods including artisanal food items, décor and dining, fashion, accessories, art, children’s clothing and toys.

One of a Kind Spring Show & Tickets Giveaway!

Even though it is not officially spring, it sure feels like it this week in Toronto. Speaking of spring, the One of a Kind Show returns for the Spring Season.

Canada's destination for all things handmade comes to Toronto this Easter weekend to showcase the best makers from across the country.

The One of a Kind Spring show and sale is happening from March 23 - 27, 2016 at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place in Toronto. For more info and to purchase tickets, visit their site here.

This year the show will include over 450 artisans and 105 new exhibitors displaying their unique and handmade goods. You'll be able to shop an array of categories from home decor and fashion to jewellery, art, artisanal food items and toys.

Craft Community of Canada - Craft & Design Education
A feature exhibit at the Spring Show for the sixth season, the One of a Kind Show’s Craft Community of Canada showcases 10 finalists from award-winning schools and institutions across Canada with works in diverse categories and mediums, including: glass, wood,  and textile, to name a few.

Etsy (Forth season)
Etsy will return this spring with a line-up of 45 emerging sellers in a designated marketplace, making it easy to shop and navigate through the range of beautifully-crafted items, including: art, photography, clothing, jewellery, food, bath and beauty products, quilts and toys.

Launchpad
A new exhibit at the show this year, Launchpad highlights makers from Quebec and provides an entry level option for artisans entering the Show for the first time. A group of 12 talented emerging designers, artisans and makers from the French speaking province make up this space.

The Holiday season is approaching, this means The One of a Kind Show & Sale is just around the corner: taking place in Toronto at the Enercare Centre from November 26 - December 6, 2015. One of a Kind Christmas Show & Sale 2013

I checked out the One of a Kind Christmas Show & Sale today. Believe it or not, it's actually my very first time (I know! How is that possible?!) However, I have attended the spring show before. Very glad to finally have the chance : )

A mini ice rink!

We got to the Direct Energy Centre at 10am, that was when it opened. Thinking to be there early and beat the crowd. How wrong was I - it was actually pretty busy already, there was a line up of people waiting to go in!! So great to see! People supporting locally handmade stuff!

There was so much to see, do and to eat/sample (the flavours area). I love to check out the Rising Stars area. I, somewhat feel close/relatable to the artisans there, since I too have my own creations: Hello! Stuff and would one day love to be a vendor. Check out my Hello! Stuff Etsy store here.

I really had a great time, and will try to go back before it ends. The show started Nov. 28 and will run until December 8. It's definitely worth checking out. A great place to do ALL your Christmas shopping! Take a look at some of my favourite stuff I saw at the show below.
