Show your True Colours and Stop Bullying

I am sure you're aware that bullying has become a very big issue, especially now with cyber bullying.

It is very sad to see that people are taking their own lives due to being bullied. An interesting fact - Think of seven people you know, and at least one of them had been bullied, or is a bully.

We should all work together, take a stand and make a difference. One way to do so is through the Kids Help Phone. Also, check out what some of Canada's biggest stars (Simple Plan, Hedley, Lights, FeFe Dobson, Kardinal Offishall, Alyssa Reid, and Walk Off the Earth) are doing - they recorded a new version of the song "True Colors". Maison Martin Margiela for H&M count down

Only a few more days till the launch of the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M Collection - who's excited!! Available Thursday November 15 @8am.

The more I read more about Maison Martin Margiela, the more of a fan I am becoming.

A little background info: MMM is a french fashion house which as always followed its own path, often outside the conventional fashion framework.
They constantly questioning the norms of fashion and presenting its pieces through the technique of deconstruction and transformation, their collections reinvent volumes, modify shapes, change the original use and movement of garments and derail classic notions of fashion.

The collection for H&M consists of apparel and accessories for both men and women. A very neat thing - each piece is specifically labeled with a unique tag indicating the season from which its originated, spanning 23 years since the Maison's funding. (noted in their logo above)

You got the 'Gangnam Style'?

So, I heard this song on the radio a couple days ago - at first, I didn't even know that it wasn't fully an English song. And now, it's like the biggest thing! The song and it's dance moves!

It is definitely a catchy song! (LMFAO style-ish) It is by a South Korean rapper named PSY. The song came out back in July and became a smash hit on YouTube, racking up more than 110 million views. PSY recently signed a deal with Scooter Braun, Justin Bieber's manager.

He's so popular, he recently made an appearance on both the MTV Music Video Awards and the Ellen Degeneres show. On Ellen he even showed Britney Spears the popular dance moves. Check out the video below. "Dress classy and dance cheesy" lol

So, what does 'Gangnam Style' means? I did a little researching. It's a Korean language that refers to a luxurious lifestyle associated with the 'Gangnam district', a trendy area of Seoul. The song is about "the perfect girlfriend who knows when to be refined and when to get wild."

Great song, nice beats and cool moves! Giddy-up, you got the Gangnam style? : )

Fashion's Night Out - Toronto!

So great to hear that Toronto is finally getting its very own Fashion's Night Out - happening this Thursday September 6 from 6pm - 11pm.

After hearing about it happening for the past couple years in New York City - which btw was started up by American Vogue 4 years ago to boost the economy. I am looking forward to checking out this event - a night of shopping and parties!

On September 6, from 6pm-11pm, fashionable neighbourhoods/malls such as Yorkville, Queen Street, Holt Renfrew, Eaton Centre and Yorkdale will all be having special events to celebrate. For a list of retailer participating and what's happening, you can check out their website here.

Summer 2012 - Good Times!

It's the end of August, the CNE is opened, and the days are getting shorter which are all signs that means Summer is unfortunately coming to an end. BOOO!

I can't complain, I loved this Summer - lot's of sun and HOT temperatures. I actually had lots of 'free' time this summer : ) Did lots and great times was spent with friends and family.

Looks like we're going to have some great Labour day weekend weather - last taste of summer. Go out and have a good time!!!

In memory of all the fun times I had this Summer here's a song to sums it all up, Carly Rae Jepsen & Owl City's "Good Time".  I love this song - always puts me in a happy mood when I hear it. Another very catchy one coming from Carly - enjoy!

Olympic's Believe Montages

I can't believe that the 2012 London Olympic games will be coming to an end this Sunday August 12.

Just wanted to share some of the many CTV's Believe montages - showing the top moments and best images at the games. And the 'I Believe' song just doesn't get old. The song made famous by Nikki Yanofsky during the 2010 Winter Olympics has been redone by the Tenors for this Summer games. Btw which version do you prefer?

Diesel Fall/Winter 2012 Ad Campaign

Check out the latest Ad Campaign from Diesel. It continues last season's theme of 'portraits for successful living'. This time around the campaign is like a series of modern screen test.

The photographer is Steven Meisel and the campaign features some of the most contemporary models, including Canadian's own Coco Rocha. The 'Queen of posing' doesn't disappoint, giving some pretty interesting poses.

I love the look of the campaign. I like how the models are being playful, and showing off their personalities. It's definitely a fun and humorous campaign. What do you guys think?

H&M Back to School Fashion

Now that I'm an uncle to a niece and nephew, I am paying more attention to kids clothing. I was surprised to find that kids clothing can be pretty pricey for the amount of time the kid will be wearing it.

H&M is a great place to get kids clothes. They have lots of selections at great and reasonable prices. Check out the latest Back to School/Fall fashion from H&M. There are some very cool, fun and adorable outfits.
