Preview Event - 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target

A LIVE look book.
Breakfast!

I attended the preview event for the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection the other day. It took place at the Corus Entertainment Inc. in Toronto.

I've be talking about this collection on my blog (past postings here), so needless to say, I was pretty excited to attend this event. It was a sneak peek of the collection. There were racks of both women's and men's apparel there for us to check out. A great display of the accessories. It was actually nice to get to hold, touch and feel the items. There were six models showing off different looks/outfits. The pieces will definitely ensure you to stay effortlessly stylish for whatever time! It's sophisticated looking yet functional. Plus the designer, Phillip Lim was there too!

My fav look!
Spotted designer, Phillip Lim! See him?

It's less than a month away! This limited collection will be available September 15th - exciting! Check out some of the pics I snapped and this very interesting behind the scenes ad campaign below.

Herschel Supply Co. Fall 2013 Cotton Canvas Collection

I usually take a bag or a backpack with me when ever I go out. A brand I am really admiring/looking at for the past few years is Vancouver based Herschel Supply Co. For Fall 2013, they bring us the Cotton Canvas collection. Their products are crafted with a fine regard for detail and built to stand the test of time. In the latest collection, there's the introduction of suede details and colour blocking.

Designed for those who appreciated the finer things (that's me), the twelve piece collection is constructed from high quality, enzyme washed heavyweight cotton canvas and finished with full grain leather details, suede trim, brass zippers and brass pin clips.

Check out the offering below. I really like the colour blocked style, and the colours; black, washed  navy, rust and army. They're available now in selected stores and on herschelsupply.com.

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Lookbook

Very excited about the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collaboration! The exclusive collection for women and men will be available in about a month, September 15th at most Target stores. This will be the very first collaboration available in Canada, since Target had just opened here earlier this year. I wonder, how crazy busy it will be? Will shoppers/fan be lining up early?

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target embodies Lim’s philosophy that clothing is meant to refine, not define. Rooted in a classic fall palette of neutral tones and prints, the collection features more than 100 items and ranges in price from $19.99 to $299.99 for apparel and $19.99 to $59.99 for accessories. Standout pieces include bags, dresses and a trench coat for women, and shoes and a leather moto jacket for men. Travel accessories, such as a duffle and multipurpose pouches for women and men, round out the collection.

Very happy to see that the collection is not only apparel but also includes a lot of accessories, including shoes, bags and travel accessories. Check out most of the (photos) look book below: most of the men, and some of my favourite look for the women.

For the full look book plus additional product shots, click here! I'm liking what I see. I made notes of what I got my eyes on (my wish list). What do you guys think? Will you be at your nearest Target store come September 15th?

Pop Quiz - My Taping Day

My taping day for Pop Quiz had come and gone. It was a long day – a some what nerve-racking one but mostly exciting. It was actually a lot of fun! Who knew? My knowledge and love for pop culture had given me the opportunity to be on a game show! I can now cross that off my bucket list.

I still can’t believe it happened. It was such a cool experience I definitely won’t forget. I also met some great people during the process. And for the very first time, I had make-up on! That was interesting. Oh, the stuff we have to do to be on TV.

It was so nice to have my family there in the audience cheering me on. It really meant a lot. Love you guys! For all those who couldn’t make it, no worries, you will be able to catch me in action come Fall. Pop Quiz will be airing on the E! Network. Yep, the same network as Keeping up with the Kardashians! : )

For those who would like to experience the excitement of a live studio audience, you can still do so. Free tickets are available through August 7th. However, just so you know, it may not be as fun, since I won’t be there, kidding.

You’ll have an awesome time – the production team is the greatest! Plus, you'll be able to meet the host of Pop Quiz, Devon Soltendieck and may even end up being on TV!

Stay tuned and check back here, I will keep you guys posted as to when Pop Quiz will air and exactly when I will be on TV! How exciting……

I will be on a Game Show!

I'm sure you've heard, if not - I will be on a game show!!! I'm so excited! It's called Pop Quiz and it will be airing on the E! network. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it will be airing in the fall - will keep you guys posted.

People been asking how I got to be a contestant. Well, I went to the casting, completed a pop culture quiz, and did a screen test. I guess the producers from Pop Quiz liked what they saw : )

My taping date will take place on Tuesday, July 30 in Toronto. If you're available and interested in being a part of the audience, please let me know or you can actually email the show for tickets (info in above image) - they're FREE! It would be great to have some support. You can get tickets for any of the tapings through August 7th. It would be lots of fun! Experience the excitement of being in a live studio audience - plus, you might make it on TV!

Well, I can't tell you how super excited I am. Who knew? My love for pop culture is actually coming in handy - lol. Cash and prizes are at stakes. I better go study up!: )

Stuff I Wore - Floral

Yes! I'm not afraid to wear a little floral. Well, actually there's quite a bit of floral in this outfit. If you look closely, not only floral print all over my t-shirt but also on my shorts! However the prints on my shorts are very faded, therefore I don't look like a bouquet of flowers walking down the street. lol.

Floral print are fun, especially for the summer time. Guys, don't be afraid of them : ) Go and experiment! Doesn't look that bad on me, right? Let me know what you think. If you like this look, please go 'Hype this look' on LOOKBOOK.nu. Thank you!

Sneakers from Converse. Messenger bag from American Eagle Outfitters. T-shirt from Aeropostale.

You see the floral print of the shorts? I love the subtleness. Shorts are Insight from Urban Outfitters. Sunglasses from H&M.

Stuff I Wore - Checkered

Having a little fun with my outfit with a checkered theme: shirt, sunglasses and sneakers. It wasn't really planned, just noticed when reviewing the pics, lol. Shirt is from J.Crew. I chose to wear it unbutton for a more casual look. Shorts are from Urban Outfitters.

Is it just me? But I just love the graffiti artwork in the background - great colours and goes well with my outfit! : )

Sneakers are from Vans (from Urban Outfitters). I really like the colour and style. When you think of Vans, they're usually slip on, however this style have laces. Sunglasses are from Dickies (picked up from Zellers).

Accessories: white band from makepovertyhistory.ca, middle bracelet from Mandatory, and beads one is from H&M. Watch from Casio G-Shock.

Graphic T-shirt, Superdry (picked up at The Bay).

What do you think of this outfit? Like the colours? Please 'Hype this look' on LOOKBOOK.nu.
Thank you!
